Within Hotlist, we would recommend that you add the Security Roles to a Team, and then add the users to the team.

 

If you do have users that would have some permissions others uses wouldn't have, either create another Team or add them to the specific user.

 

Go to the Power Platform Admin Centre.

 

O   Select Environments

O   Click on the correct Environment

Users

In the Access area, click on See all under Users

 

Click + Add User in the menu bar


Insert the User Name - The user must have been added in the Admin Centre

 

Click Add

Security Roles

 

Hotlist would recommend that you add the Security Roles to a Team, and then add the users to the team.  However, to be able to save the user record you need to add at least one security role - Hotlist would recommend selecting Approvals User, as all users will need this one.

 

If a User requires some other permissions that the others uses in the Team wouldn't have, add the Team Security Roles and the User specific Security Roles in here.

User Security Roles will over ride the Teams Security Roles.

 

Click Save Click Save again when the Confirmation box pops up. Click Refresh and you should see the account in the list.

Teams

In the Access area, click on See all under Teams

 

Click + Create team in the menu bar

 

O   Insert a Team Name (ie Hiring Manager or Talent Acquisition)
O   Copy the Team name into the Description
O   Business Unit – Insert the Business Unit 
O   Administrator – Insert the name of the Admin or the Admins email address.
O   Team Type – Owner
O   Click Next

Add Users to a Team

Select the Team and click Manage team members from the Menu bar

or click on the ellipses next to the team and click Manage team members

Click + Add team members in the menu bar

Insert the name or email address of any member you may wish to add

Click Add


If you have created a Team called Hiring Manager - add all the Hiring Managers within the Company into the Hiring Manager Team
If you have created a TA Team - add all the TA's within the Company into the TA Team
