All of the options in the sidebar have their own associate views. If there is a View you frequent often, you can make that view be the Default View every time you click that specific option in the sidebar.
Click on the down arrow next to the current View, and select View that you want to set as your default view.
Scroll to the bottom and click Set current view as my default.
