What
When selecting one of the options in the sidebar, users can personally select which columns of data to display when previewing the records.
Within this function, users have a large selection of fields that they can add to their Views, and the ability to remove any unwanted fields from a View.
This allows a lot of flexibility when creating a new View, amending an existing View or temporarily adjusting what can be seen.
If the data in the View still not want you were expecting to see, it may have something to do with the Filters (link to editing filters in a view).
How
Click on the relevant section in the side bar, find the correct View and click Edit Columns
If you know that you already have a view that is similar to the one you would like to create, then click on the dropdown arrow next to your default view and select the similar view.
If the existing view is similar to start with, there will be less changes you need to make to the View.
Once you have selected a view, you can now edit the columns so you only see the information you need.
Click Edit Columns:
Click + Add columns which will open the field menu where selections can be made:
Users can also then manually search for a field or use the scroll bar to look for a desired field. Once a field has been chosen, users will need to click the Close icon to be directed back to the menu:
By hovering over a field, the cursor will change to crosshairs, if you click on a field you will be able to move it. You can either move it up or down and re-order the field or move it to the left until you see the no entry/delete icon and this will remove the field from the list.
If you move the cursor to the right of the field 3dots will appear, if you click on the dots, you will get the menu to Remove, or Move up or down:
Click Apply and the field will be shown in the current view:
The new fields will now appear in the order you have chosen.
To make the new field changes permanent, click on the down arrow next to the View, and select the Save as a new view option:
If you wish to override the existing View, keep the View Name the same and click Save, if you wish to create a new View, give the View a new name and click Save.
